Whilst the oil industry may not employ large numbers, it does has a significant role to play in stimulating economic development.

  • Upstream jobs are largely filled by a mobile expatriate work force.
  • Downstream jobs and those created as the wider economy grows are where the greatest opportunities lie for local communities.
